Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle from conceptual design through construction administration.
- Perform complex engineering calculations and prepare technical reports for site development.
- Coordinate with local government agencies to ensure compliance with municipal building codes and zoning laws.
- Mentor junior engineers and review design documents for quality control and accuracy.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams including surveyors, geologists, and environmental consultants.
- Develop detailed project specifications and cost estimates for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce precise engineering drawings and site plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas (or ability to obtain via reciprocity).
- Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience in site civil design and infrastructure.
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Stormwater modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, StormCAD).
- Deep understanding of local Houston/Harris County drainage and paving design criteria.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of managing project budgets and timelines.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting project designs to clients and stakeholders.
