Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models to predict production performance
- Lead reservoir characterization studies using petrophysical and geological data
- Develop field development plans and recovery optimization strategies
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on reservoir management
- Collaborate with drilling and production teams to implement field development plans
- Analyze well performance data and recommend production enhancement techniques
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of reservoir engineering experience in upstream operations
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE, CMG, or PETEX)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in production data analysis
- Knowledge of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques and applications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with Gulf Coast reservoirs and unconventional resources
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
