Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models to forecast production performance and optimize field development plans.
- Analyze geological and engineering data to identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and water flooding.
- Lead technical discussions with cross-functional teams including geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production staff.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for executive stakeholders.
- Conduct well stimulation design and evaluate completion strategies to maximize reservoir contact.
- Monitor well performance and recommend interventions to mitigate decline rates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in upstream oil and gas operations.
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, Petrel) and database management tools.
- Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid dynamics, and pressure transient analysis.
- Experience with unconventional reservoirs (shale/tight gas) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical data into actionable business insights.
