Responsibilities
- Design and implement reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel) to predict production performance
- Develop and optimize enhanced oil recovery (EOR) strategies for unconventional and conventional reservoirs
- Analyze well performance data and recommend drilling/completion improvements to maximize recovery factors
- Lead reservoir characterization studies integrating geological, geophysical, and engineering data
- Prepare detailed technical reports and economic evaluations for senior management and stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge transfer through technical workshops
- Stay current with emerging technologies in digital oilfields and automation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master's or PhD preferred
- Minimum 8 years of reservoir engineering experience in upstream oil & gas operations
- Expertise in reservoir simulation, production forecasting, and well performance analysis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Strong proficiency in reservoir modeling software (Eclipse, Petrel, Nexus)
- Demonstrated success in managing complex reservoir development projects
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret large datasets
- Experience with unconventional reservoirs (shale, tight formations) highly desirable
