Responsibilities
- Reservoir Modeling & Simulation: Lead the design, execution, and history matching of complex reservoir simulation models to predict production performance and forecast reserves.
- Field Development Planning: Develop and optimize well placement strategies and recovery schemes for mature and new field developments to ensure maximum economic return.
- Data Analysis: Interpret geological and petrophysical data to build integrated reservoir models that accurately capture the heterogeneity of the reservoir.
- Project Leadership: Manage cross-functional teams, including geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production engineers, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Optimization: Conduct economic evaluations and risk assessments to determine the most efficient methods for enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
- Technical Guidance: Mentor junior engineers and provide technical expertise on reservoir behavior and production optimization techniques.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in reservoir engineering within the upstream oil and gas sector.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Schlumberger Eclipse, CMG, CMG STARS, or similar).
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of fluid flow dynamics, PVT properties, and reservoir characterization.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical data to stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on optimizing production and reducing operational risks.
