Responsibilities
- Lead reservoir characterization and simulation studies to maximize recovery factors.
- Develop and execute comprehensive field development plans (FDP) for multi-well programs.
- Perform uncertainty analysis using probabilistic modeling and decline curve analysis (DCA).
- Collaborate with drilling and completion engineers to optimize well placement and productivity.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Monitor and report on production performance, providing actionable insights to executive stakeholders.
- Manage regulatory compliance and safety documentation for all active reservoir projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of proven experience in reservoir engineering within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Expertise in industry-standard software: Petrel, Eclipse, Intersect, or Kappa.
- Strong background in reserves estimation (SEC/PRMS guidelines).
- Exceptional analytical skills with a proficiency in Python or R for data automation.
- Effective communicator capable of presenting technical strategies to non-technical partners.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
