Responsibilities
- Lead the design, execution, and interpretation of reservoir simulation studies to forecast field performance and optimize recovery factors.
- Develop and update static and dynamic reservoir models using industry-standard software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse).
- Analyze production data and pressure transient tests to identify wellbore and reservoir issues and propose remedial actions.
- Collaborate with geoscientists and drilling engineers to integrate geological models with engineering data for comprehensive reservoir management.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
- Participate in field visits and well intervention planning to ensure alignment between theoretical models and actual field conditions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering, preferably in onshore unconventional or conventional reservoirs.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Schlumberger Petrel, CMG, Eclipse).
- Proven experience in PVT analysis, fluid properties determination, and reservoir drive mechanism identification.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical data into actionable business insights.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
