Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models for unconventional assets using CMG/GEM and PETREL
- Lead field development planning (FDP) initiatives, including well placement optimization and artificial lift design
- Conduct reservoir characterization integrating geological, geophysical, and production data
- Develop production forecasts and economic models for reserves booking (SEC/PSC compliant)
- Optimize hydraulic fracturing designs using microseismic data and production analytics
- Mentor junior engineers and present technical findings to executive leadership
- Collaborate with data science team to implement machine learning for production optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of reservoir engineering experience in unconventional plays (Permian/Eagle Ford)
- Expert proficiency in reservoir simulation software (CMG, PETREL) and production forecasting tools
- Strong understanding of Darcy flow, well testing, and decline curve analysis methodologies
- Experience with reserves reporting (SEC, SPE, PRMS) and economic modeling
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
- Demonstrated success in presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in Python/R for reservoir data analytics and automation
