Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models to forecast production performance
- Conduct well test analysis and pressure transient studies to characterize reservoir properties
- Develop field development plans and optimize well placement for maximum recovery
- Analyze production data to identify underperforming wells and recommend remediation strategies
- Prepare reservoir management reports and economic evaluations for capital projects
- Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge transfer across technical teams
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (SPE, API) and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of reservoir engineering experience in upstream oil & gas operations
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, tNavigator, or CMG)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in production data analysis and forecasting
- Expertise in well test interpretation and reservoir characterization techniques
- Proven track record in field development planning and economic evaluation
- Active PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts
