Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software (Petrel, Eclipse, or CMG).
- Analyze complex geological and engineering data to forecast production rates and reservoir performance.
- Develop Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) strategies to maximize asset value and extend field life.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production engineers to optimize well placement.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Conduct reservoir surveillance and monitor pressure transient tests to ensure field stability.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering, specifically in unconventional reservoirs.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- Proficient in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Schlumberger Petrel, IHS Markit Eclipse).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
