Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models to forecast production performance
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in optimizing well placement and hydraulic fracturing programs
- Conduct economic analysis for field development plans and capital allocation
- Develop enhanced oil recovery (EOR) strategies using CO2 injection and thermal methods
- Collaborate with geoscientists to integrate seismic data and formation evaluation results
- Maintain compliance with SPE standards and regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior engineers through technical training and project oversight
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (MS/PhD preferred)
- 10+ years of reservoir engineering experience in upstream operations
- Expertise in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, Nexus, tNavigator)
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret complex geological data
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent international certification
- Experience with unconventional resources (shale gas, tight oil) essential
- Demonstrated success in leading field development projects
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to executive stakeholders
