Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary R&D projects in nanomaterial synthesis and quantum sensor development
- Design and execute experimental protocols with rigorous statistical validation
- Secure and manage government/industry research grants ($500K+ annually)
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior scientists and drive innovation through collaborative hackathons
- Translate laboratory discoveries into patentable technologies with commercial potential
- Interface with engineering teams for rapid prototyping and product integration
Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science, Physics, or Computational Chemistry with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of high-impact publications (h-index >20)
- Expertise in AFM/SEM characterization and molecular dynamics simulations
- Experience securing SBIR grants or equivalent funding mechanisms
- Strong programming skills (Python, MATLAB) for experimental automation
