Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end R&D projects from ideation through prototyping and validation phases
- Design and execute complex experiments to optimize renewable energy conversion systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including material scientists and mechanical engineers
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and IP protection strategies
- Present research findings to stakeholders and publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation through creative problem-solving
Qualifications
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of developing and commercializing energy technologies
- Expertise in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS) and experimental methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis and data modeling
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants and manage R&D budgets
- Published research in high-impact journals and/or significant patent portfolio
