Responsibilities
- Lead R&D projects from concept to commercialization in sustainable materials
- Design and execute experimental protocols for material characterization and performance testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate innovations into product development
- Document research findings through technical reports, patents, and academic publications
- Stay abreast of emerging scientific literature and technological advancements
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of innovation
- Present research outcomes to stakeholders and industry partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Proven expertise in polymer chemistry, nanomaterials, or sustainable composites
- Experience with advanced characterization techniques (SEM, TEM, XRD, DSC)
- Strong background in experimental design and statistical analysis
- Track record of successful technology transfer from lab to production
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding or patents
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals preferred
