Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design for aerospace systems using CAD/CAE tools
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation for structural integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical subsystems
- Develop prototypes and oversee testing/validation processes
- Optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace/automotive
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of complex project delivery from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
