Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of critically ill patients, ensuring precise medication administration and monitoring.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to develop and execute complex care plans.
- Operate advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators and hemodialysis machines.
- Maintain meticulous documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to patients' families during high-stress situations.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students in clinical rotations.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital safety protocols and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or high-acuity medical setting.
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree required; MSN preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure medical emergencies.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient advocacy.
- Proficiency in modern healthcare informatics and patient management software.
