Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end R&D project lifecycles from conceptualization to prototype deployment.
- Design and execute complex experiments to optimize material performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Product, to ensure seamless integration.
- Analyze experimental data using advanced statistical modeling and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of scientific excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all laboratory operations comply with safety standards and ethical research practices.
- Draft technical documentation and intellectual property filings for internal and external review.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related physical science discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an industrial R&D environment.
- Proven track record of delivering innovative solutions in material characterization and formulation.
- Proficiency in modern analytical instrumentation (e.g., SEM, XRD, DSC).
- Strong understanding of Design of Experiments (DoE) methodology and statistical software (JMP, R, or Python).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical partners.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
