Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end research and development lifecycle for new product initiatives, from concept to commercialization.
- Design, build, and test functional prototypes to validate technical feasibility and performance metrics.
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and competitive analyses to identify emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, hardware/software engineering, and marketing teams to align R&D efforts with business objectives.
- Author detailed technical documentation, including white papers, patent disclosures, and design specifications.
- Mentor junior engineers and researchers, fostering a culture of innovation, rigor, and intellectual curiosity.
- Establish and optimize testing protocols to ensure product reliability, safety, and scalability.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Research & Development or advanced engineering role.
- Proven track record of bringing complex, highly technical products from the ideation phase to market.
- Strong proficiency in rapid prototyping, CAD software, and modern programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
- Deep understanding of statistical data analysis, experimental design, and the scientific method.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and pivot quickly based on research findings.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
