Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end R&D projects from prototype to commercialization
- Design and execute rigorous experimental protocols for medical device validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (biology, engineering, clinical) to align research goals
- Develop and optimize novel sensor technologies for neural monitoring
- Conduct statistical analysis and data interpretation to drive product improvements
- Secure intellectual property through patents and technical documentation
- Mentor junior researchers and foster innovation culture
Qualifications
- PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in medical device R&D and regulatory pathways (FDA/ISO)
- Expertise in neural signal processing and machine learning applications
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks) and rapid prototyping technologies
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Demonstrated success translating research into commercial products
- Excellent project management skills with ability to meet aggressive deadlines
- Experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, EMG/EEG systems, 3D printers
