Responsibilities
- Design and prototype quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits
- Develop advanced error-correction algorithms for quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating research concepts into viable products
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with MIT and Harvard researchers on joint quantum initiatives
- Secure and manage government/private research grants ($500K+ annually)
- Optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography and simulation
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science (MS with 5+ years experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum hardware or superconducting systems
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Demonstrated success in securing research grants or patents
- Strong knowledge of cryogenic systems and RF engineering
- Experience mentoring junior researchers and interns
