Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end R&D projects from concept prototyping to production-ready solutions
- Design and execute experiments to validate technical feasibility and performance metrics
- Collaborate with material scientists and product teams to translate research into commercial applications
- Develop advanced testing methodologies and analyze complex datasets using statistical modeling
- Secure intellectual property through patent applications and technical documentation
- Mentor junior researchers and foster innovation through regular hackathons and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Stay current with industry trends by attending international conferences and publishing research findings
Qualifications
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of developing patented technologies in energy or advanced materials
- Expertise in CAD modeling (SolidWorks), FEA simulation (ANSYS), and rapid prototyping
- Strong statistical analysis skills with proficiency in Python/R for data interpretation
- Demonstrated project leadership managing cross-functional teams of 5+ engineers
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals or conference proceedings
- Experience securing research grants and managing R&D budgets
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and FDA quality standards for technical documentation
