Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of complex quantum algorithms focused on NISQ-era hardware optimization.
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to characterize and mitigate decoherence and gate errors in superconducting qubit systems.
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at international conferences (APS, IEEE).
- Develop and maintain proprietary software libraries for quantum circuit simulation and error mitigation.
- Mentor junior scientists and PhD interns, fostering a culture of rigorous scientific inquiry and rapid prototyping.
- Interface with strategic partners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical research objectives.
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Quantum Computing, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on Quantum Information.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in quantum research and development.
- Deep expertise in quantum programming frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane.
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
- Proven track record of innovation evidenced by a strong publication record or significant patent portfolio.
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical concepts for non-expert audiences.
