Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, performance, and security testing
- Automate testing workflows using industry-standard tools (Selenium, Cypress, Postman) to accelerate release cycles
- Lead defect management processes using JIRA, ensuring clear documentation and timely resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Product, Engineering) to embed quality throughout the SDLC
- Mentor junior QA engineers and champion quality best practices across the organization
- Conduct root cause analysis of production incidents and drive preventive measures
- Stay current with emerging QA technologies and methodologies to continuously improve testing strategies
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in QA engineering with proven track record in software testing methodologies
- Expertise in test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, SQL databases, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Familiarity with agile development processes and experience in fast-paced startup environments
- Certification in ISTQB or equivalent quality assurance methodologies preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate business requirements into test scenarios
- Experience leading QA projects and mentoring team members
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
