Responsibilities
- Design and deploy enterprise-scale cloud architectures using AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
- Lead the migration of complex, multi-tier applications from on-premises environments to hybrid or public cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical roadmaps with long-term business objectives.
- Establish best practices for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Drive security-by-design principles, ensuring all cloud solutions meet stringent compliance standards (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Optimize cloud consumption and costs through architectural refinements and right-sizing strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or software development with at least 4 years focused on cloud architecture.
- Professional-level certifications in AWS (Solutions Architect Professional) or Microsoft Azure (Solutions Architect Expert).
- Hands-on expertise with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, mission-critical production environments.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive leadership.
