Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies for cloud-native applications using both manual and automated testing frameworks
- Lead end-to-end testing initiatives including functional, regression, performance, and security testing across complex distributed systems
- Collaborate with Agile teams to define test cases, identify edge cases, and ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright to accelerate validation cycles
- Establish and maintain robust QA metrics and reporting systems to drive continuous improvement
- Mentor junior QA engineers and champion quality-first engineering practices across the organization
- Investigate, document, and track defects using JIRA with clear severity assessments and resolution pathways
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance with proven expertise in testing cloud-based SaaS applications
- Strong proficiency in automated testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript)
- Deep understanding of QA methodologies including test-driven development, behavior-driven development, and continuous integration
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) and security testing practices
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple layers
- Certification in ISTQB or equivalent QA methodology preferred
- Strong communication skills with ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
