Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to reduce costs and improve the quality of goods and services.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting performance evaluations and negotiating renewal terms.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead complex contract negotiations to secure favorable pricing, delivery schedules, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Market Analysis: Monitor global market trends and price fluctuations to forecast material requirements and inventory needs accurately.
- Process Optimization: Streamline purchasing workflows and implement procurement best practices to increase operational efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, finance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on material specifications and delivery timelines.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards) and advanced Excel skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making and cost analysis.
