Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies to support business objectives and minimize costs.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers; manage ongoing supplier relationships and performance to ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery schedules.
- Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with vendors, securing optimal value for the organization.
- Monitor market trends, supply risks, and technological advancements to inform procurement decisions and strategies.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Production, Finance) to understand material requirements and project timelines.
- Manage purchase orders from requisition to delivery, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and process improvement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable and ethical sourcing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably within a manufacturing or technology-driven environment.
- Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Certification in Purchasing (e.g., CPSM, CPIM) is a significant plus.
