Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end purchasing cycle, from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely fulfillment.
- Negotiate competitive contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms, pricing, and payment schedules.
- Analyze market trends and historical data to forecast inventory needs accurately.
- Manage and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality standards and delivery reliability.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements within the supply chain.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal purchasing policies, safety regulations, and external laws.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics and finance, to align procurement goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Proven track record of successful vendor negotiations and contract management.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) certification is a strong advantage.
