Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and goods.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle, from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of junior buyers and procurement specialists.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and finance, to forecast inventory needs.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to prevent production disruptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and procurement software.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills with a track record of delivering cost savings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to manage diverse vendor relationships.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPM) is a plus.
