Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sourcing strategies to ensure supply continuity and cost optimization.
- Lead contract negotiations with Tier-1 suppliers to achieve favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Monitor market trends and commodity pricing to proactively mitigate supply chain risks.
- Manage end-to-end procurement workflows, including purchase order lifecycle and supplier performance management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Production, to align procurement activities with project milestones.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce lead times and enhance operational efficiency.
- Mentor and guide the junior purchasing team to foster a culture of high performance and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA/CPM certification preferred).
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic purchasing or procurement within the manufacturing sector.
- Proven track record of managing high-value spend categories and international supplier relationships.
- Expert-level proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data to inform business decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of supply chain regulations, compliance standards, and sustainable sourcing practices.
