Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies that align with company goals and drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts that ensure quality, delivery reliability, and competitive pricing.
- Inventory Optimization: Collaborate with operations teams to forecast demand accurately and manage inventory levels, minimizing waste and stockouts.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise a team of buyers and coordinators, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies, mitigating supply chain risks effectively.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the logistics or manufacturing sector.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successfully negotiating high-value contracts and managing complex supplier negotiations.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate reports, and drive process improvements.
