Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of goods and services.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations, optimizing working capital.
- Data Analysis: Analyze market trends and purchasing data to forecast needs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior purchasing staff and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence within the procurement department.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Negotiation: Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and vendor relationship management.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of logistics, warehousing, or relevant industry standards.
