Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies that align with company goals to maximize value and minimize costs.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts that ensure quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand accurately, and coordinate with logistics to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Cost Reduction: Analyze market trends and internal data to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of purchasing professionals to ensure operational excellence.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the logistics or manufacturing industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced data analysis tools (Excel, SQL) is highly preferred.
- Negotiation: Demonstrated ability to negotiate favorable terms and close complex deals with vendors.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
