Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to meet business objectives while minimizing costs and mitigating risks.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting performance reviews and negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Analyze supply chain processes and market trends to implement best practices, reduce lead times, and improve inventory turnover.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead high-stakes negotiations with vendors to ensure compliance, quality assurance, and competitive pricing.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise a team of purchasing professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and legal standards.
- Forecasting: Collaborate with operations and finance departments to create accurate demand forecasts and purchasing plans.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to interpret data and drive decision-making.
- Certifications: CPIM, CSCP, or PMP certification is a strong plus.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
