Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sourcing strategies to ensure supply chain continuity.
- Lead contract negotiations with Tier-1 suppliers to achieve significant cost savings and favorable payment terms.
- Monitor market trends and commodity pricing to proactively adjust procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including Engineering and Production, to streamline material requirements.
- Manage vendor performance metrics and conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Mentor and lead a team of junior purchasing specialists to foster professional growth and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing setting.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar annual procurement budgets.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data for decision-making.
- Professional certification such as CPSM or CSCP is highly desired.
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
