Are you a strategic sourcing expert looking to drive efficiency for a global leader? Apex Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a high-impact Senior Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement initiatives. You will be instrumental in optimizing our supply chain, negotiating high-value contracts, and building resilient supplier partnerships.
In this role, you will lead cross-functional efforts to streamline raw material procurement and improve cost-to-value ratios across our North American facilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sourcing strategies to reduce costs and mitigate supply risks.
- Negotiate high-value master service agreements and long-term supply contracts with domestic and international vendors.
- Analyze market trends and pricing volatility to forecast budget requirements accurately.
- Manage end-to-end procurement cycles, from initial RFP/RFQ issuance to final contract execution.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
- Mentor and lead a team of procurement specialists to maintain operational excellence and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or purchasing management.
- Proven track record of achieving significant cost savings through effective vendor negotiations.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of global trade compliance, Incoterms, and supply chain logistics.
- Professional certification (CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM) is highly preferred.
