Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies to meet business objectives while optimizing costs and minimizing risks.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
- Negotiation: Lead high-stakes negotiations with vendors to secure favorable contracts, terms, and conditions.
- Inventory Control: Collaborate with operations teams to monitor inventory levels, reduce excess stock, and prevent stockouts.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research to identify emerging trends, new suppliers, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to company policies, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior buyers and procurement analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze market trends, supplier performance, and spending data to drive strategic decisions.
