Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve lead times.
- Manage end-to-end sourcing processes, from initial RFP/RFQ to contract negotiation and final vendor selection.
- Maintain and nurture long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and competitive pricing.
- Analyze market trends and supply chain risks to proactively adjust purchasing strategies.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of procurement specialists and purchasing agents.
- Implement advanced inventory management protocols to optimize working capital.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Engineering, Finance, and Production to ensure alignment on material requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in strategic purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and multi-million dollar budget management.
- In-depth knowledge of ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred) and supply chain analytics software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data to drive business decisions.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM or CSCP are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
