Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for high-value categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage end-to-end procurement cycles, from vendor selection and negotiation to contract administration and performance review.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure business continuity and operational stability.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, driving collaboration and innovation.
- Analyze market trends and pricing data to secure the best value for money and drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior buyers and procurement specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Finance, R&D) to translate business needs into effective purchasing strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts and achieving significant cost savings.
- Expert knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) certification is highly desirable.
