Responsibilities
- Develop and execute end-to-end procurement strategies for critical raw materials and MRO supplies
- Lead vendor negotiations securing cost-effective contracts with Fortune 500 suppliers
- Analyze market trends to optimize purchasing decisions and mitigate supply chain risks
- Manage cross-functional relationships with logistics, quality, and production teams
- Implement ERP system enhancements to automate purchasing workflows
- Mentor purchasing specialists through structured training programs
- Report on KPIs including cost savings, vendor performance, and inventory turnover
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive purchasing experience in manufacturing or distribution
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation required
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP Ariba preferred) and e-procurement platforms
- Proven track record of achieving 15%+ annual cost reduction targets
- Strong analytical skills with experience in market research and price forecasting
- Exceptional negotiation skills with documented contract savings of $500K+
