The Opportunity: As the Senior Purchasing Manager, you will be the architect of our procurement strategy. You will manage the full lifecycle of purchasing, from identifying market trends and sourcing raw materials to negotiating contracts with top-tier global vendors. Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute robust procurement strategies that align with company objectives, focusing on cost reduction, quality assurance, and supply chain resilience.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers, conducting performance reviews and identifying opportunities for mutual growth.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead high-level negotiations to secure favorable pricing, delivery terms, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Inventory Optimization: Monitor inventory levels and supply chain data to prevent stockouts and overstock situations, ensuring optimal working capital utilization.
- Process Improvement: Analyze supply chain workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement Lean/Six Sigma improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Compliance & Ethics: Ensure all purchasing activities strictly adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within a fast-paced tech or manufacturing environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and procurement software.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to executive stakeholders.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and vendor relationship management.
- Certifications: CPIM or CSCP certification is a strong plus.
