Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive purchasing strategies aligned with company goals and budgetary requirements.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier onboarding.
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers to ensure a robust and diverse supply chain network.
- Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Analyze market trends and pricing data to identify cost-reduction opportunities and strategic inventory management.
- Supervise and mentor a team of junior buyers and procurement analysts, fostering professional growth and performance excellence.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior purchasing or procurement management role within a mid-to-large sized organization.
- Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supply chain management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Relevant degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
