Apex Global Manufacturing is seeking a high-caliber Senior Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement initiatives. You will be instrumental in optimizing our supply chain, negotiating high-stakes contracts, and fostering long-term relationships with key suppliers.
In this role, you will work closely with executive leadership to implement procurement strategies that reduce costs, mitigate risks, and enhance quality standards across our manufacturing divisions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sourcing strategies to reduce direct and indirect costs.
- Negotiate master service agreements and long-term contracts with high-impact suppliers.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to anticipate price fluctuations and supply chain disruptions.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to purchase order issuance and invoice reconciliation.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Implement sustainable procurement practices to meet environmental and social governance (ESG) targets.
- Drive continuous improvement in vendor performance through rigorous KPIs and quarterly business reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic procurement or purchasing management.
- Proven track record of achieving significant cost savings through vendor negotiation.
- Expertise in ERP software (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced data analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of legal contract structures and international trade regulations.
- Professional certification such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) preferred.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
