Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sourcing strategies to reduce costs and mitigate supply chain risk.
- Negotiate high-value contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with key international vendors.
- Analyze market trends and economic indicators to forecast price fluctuations and adjust inventory procurement accordingly.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional purchasing team to achieve departmental KPIs and operational excellence.
- Partner with internal stakeholders in engineering and production to ensure material specifications meet quality standards.
- Implement advanced inventory management protocols to optimize warehouse stock levels.
- Audit supplier performance regularly to ensure compliance with ethical sourcing and quality benchmarks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing, or strategic sourcing within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and multi-million dollar budget management.
- In-depth knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing high-performing teams.
- CPSM or APICS certification is highly regarded.
