Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for raw materials and indirect spend categories
- Lead supplier negotiations and contract management to maximize value and mitigate risks
- Analyze market trends and cost drivers to identify optimization opportunities
- Manage cross-functional procurement projects with engineering and operations teams
- Oversee supplier performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and sustainability standards
- Lead and mentor a team of 5 purchasing professionals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive purchasing/procurement experience in manufacturing
- CIPS or CPSM certification required
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and e-procurement platforms
- Strong analytical skills with experience in cost analysis and market research
- Proven track record in vendor development and relationship management
- Excellent negotiation skills with ability to secure favorable terms
- Experience managing international supply chains and customs compliance
