Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sourcing strategies to reduce costs and improve lead times.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, from vendor selection and contract negotiation to performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing activities with production and inventory requirements.
- Analyze market trends and supply chain risks to proactively mitigate potential disruptions.
- Oversee supplier audit programs to ensure compliance with quality standards and ethical sourcing policies.
- Mentor junior procurement specialists and provide guidance on complex negotiation tactics.
- Utilize ERP systems to maintain accurate procurement data and generate insightful performance reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or purchasing management.
- Proven track record in successful contract negotiations and vendor relationship management.
- Expertise in ERP software (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for cost-saving opportunities.
- Professional certification such as CPSM or CSCP is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
