Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals, focusing on cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new vendors to expand our network.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead complex contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Process Improvement: Implement best practices in supply chain management and leverage data analytics to drive operational efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Negotiation: Demonstrated ability to negotiate high-value contracts and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor junior staff.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the relevant industry sector is highly preferred.
