Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve supply chain resiliency.
- Lead contract negotiations with key tier-one suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing structures.
- Analyze market trends and economic data to forecast material requirements and mitigate procurement risks.
- Supervise the purchasing team, providing mentorship to drive performance and professional development.
- Collaborate with engineering and production departments to ensure timely availability of high-quality components.
- Maintain compliance with internal procurement policies and international trade regulations.
- Identify and qualify new vendors to expand the supply base and improve competitive leverage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in strategic purchasing or procurement management within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of managing complex global supply chains and multi-million dollar budgets.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and data analysis tools.
- Strong negotiation skills with an ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Professional certification such as CPSM or CSCP is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of JIT (Just-in-Time) and Lean manufacturing principles.
