Apex Global Manufacturing is seeking a visionary Senior Purchasing Manager to spearhead our procurement initiatives, optimize supplier relationships, and drive cost efficiencies in a fast-paced environment.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping our global supply strategy, ensuring operational agility, and delivering sustainable value to our production facilities worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sourcing strategies to achieve cost-reduction targets.
- Negotiate high-value contracts with tier-one suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and service level agreements.
- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, including RFPs, vendor selection, and performance management.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to maintain uninterrupted production schedules.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and finance teams to streamline bill-of-materials (BOM) management.
- Implement lean procurement methodologies to drive process improvements and scalability.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team of procurement specialists.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in direct procurement or strategic sourcing.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar annual spend portfolios.
- Deep understanding of ERP systems (SAP or Oracle) and advanced data analytics tools.
- Strong certification credentials such as CPSM or CSCP are highly preferred.
- Expert negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to influence at the executive level.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on total cost of ownership (TCO) models.
