Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Negotiate complex contracts with international suppliers, ensuring optimal pricing, terms, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Lead cross-functional teams to streamline vendor onboarding and lifecycle management processes.
- Monitor market trends and commodity pricing to mitigate supply chain risks and capitalize on cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering and production departments to ensure material requirements are met on time and within budget.
- Manage the procurement department's performance metrics, including cost savings, vendor performance, and inventory turnover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing, or procurement within a manufacturing setting.
- Proven track record of successful high-value contract negotiations and vendor management.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement analytics software.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and financial statements.
- Professional certification such as CPSM or CSCP is highly desirable.
